1999 Draft team needs:
its really too early to address team needs before free agency, but here's a preliminary look at who needs what. In some cases I'm just guessing, so let me know if I'm wrong. E-Mail me

New Orleans Saints: The Saints have a lot of needs. They mostly need offensive playmakers. HB, a few WRs. They could also use a QB, MLB, CB, S, maybe an interior D-Lineman & more OL depth. More
Go here for a comparison of the Saints last 4 drafts and who I would have taken in the same place
St. Louis: RB, WR, DL, OT, CB, FB, OL, WR, OL
Atlanta: QB of the future, WR, OL, DT, DE, ILB, S, OLB
San Francisco: OL, CB, DL, OL, S, QB, RB, OLB, WR
Carolina: OL, OL, DE, OLB, ILB, WR, RB

Dallas: WR, OG/C, pass rush DE, CB, OLB, OG/C, MLB, S, W
Arizona: OT, OLB (even if they don't lose Jamir Miller), S, OG, WR, MLB, FB, DT, OT, TE.
Philadelphia: QB, S, WR, DE, RT, TE, DL, WR, RB
Washington: CB, pass rusher, OT, WR, CB, RB, LB, OL, QB

San Diego: WR, OL, RB, pass rush, DB, MLB, QB, TE, WR
Oakland: OL, OLB, S, big RB, DE, OL, MLB, big WR, CB, FB, QB
Seattle: WR, C, DT, OT, K, QB, DB, DE, TE
Denver: S, MLB, DL, OT, OLB, DE, CB, OG
Kansas City: RB, CB, LT, OLB/DE, DT, WR, MLB, DE/OLB
Central
Cincinnatti: QB, CB, OL, DL, S, DL, OL, WR, CB,
Baltimore: They now have Scott Mitchell--is that enough? I wouldn;t be satisfied, but they'll probably look elsewhere in 1. Their next-biggest needs are OT, WR, & RB. Then OG, CB, S, DE, OLB., DT
Tennessee: DE, OLB, DT, S, OL, MLB, CB, DL
Jacksonville: DE, CB, ILB, DT, OG/C, OLB, S
Pittsburgh: S, WR, OT, CB, WR, receiving TE, DL, OLB
Cleveland: QB, & RB will be the biggest needs for the draft. May be able to address WR in free agency. Acquisition of Irv Smith makes TE a lower need. OL has been addressed well in the expansion draft & free agency. DB was also taken care of in the expansion draft, but DL & LB are needs. Specialists needed, but not a real high priority.
East
Indianapolis: ILB, DE, OLB, CB, DE, S, OL, OL, TE, WR
Buffalo: CB, DE, OL, WR, S, TE, DT, CB, OL
Miami: RB, WR, OG, OT, DE, S, FB, QB, WR, DL, OL
NY Jets: OG, DE, FB, DB, DL, S, TE, OL, WR
New England: RB, OL, DL, WR, LB, DL, OL, CB/S, QB. After losing Robert Edwards, the Patroits desperately need a RB, and with 2 #1 picks, they have the ammo to move up into the Ricky Williams derby.
