Remember that movie called "The Blues Brothers" that came out about 20 years ago? Well guess what? They've decided to make a kids' sci-fi remake!
The sequel takes place 20 years after the first one with Jake dead and Elwood released from prison. Elwood decides to get the band back together. You now have the premise. That's it. You're probably saying "But that's the premise of the first one!" Well you're wrong because there is a slight difference, you see in the fist one the brothers had a REASON to get back together(To save the orphanage), now Elwood has decided to do it out of lack of anything else to do. I realize that this is a comedy and the plot doesn't have to make complete sense, but this movie has no reason to exist. You sit there wondering "where is this going?" and you know what? Nowhere. I sort of liked some of the forced dance numbers (Aretha Franklin is scary) and it had some impressive musical cameos, but that doesn't make up for the fact that halfway through the movie becomes a supernatural cartoon. The movie wasn't very good but it wasn't horrible either. If you like Blues music, it's not so bad, but do like I did and go for free.
